    Re: Your thoughts on Puggles?

Question- How would you pronounce "Puggles"?

I've heard our commander pronounce it with a long u. . but my eye sees a short u, ie "snuggles".

I'm excited about it. My (currently) youngest son is only 20 months, so he's not necessarily ready for it, but I think if the leader they get is patient, he'll do great! He loves to be read to, and he knows to sit still for food and stories, which is more than I can say about some of the Cubbies I've worked with! (Don't get me wrong, I loved my Cubbies! It's just that sitting still was never a strong point with some of them. . .*laughs*) I love the art, and I love the whole concept. This is looking like it's going to be a great awana year!

    Praise the Lord!

    Joy,

Your instincts are correct.  Short "u".  It does sound like "snuggles".

Puggles sounds wonderful program. Our program we use for 2 years old was Lambs. Both programs are good. Hopefully my friend will try something new for the 2 years old. She use Lambs for many years in our church. Cool.

    Take care,

    Jen-

    Hi Commander Auds -

I feel that if God wants you to have the program then you need to do it.  Those giving you resistance are being negative.  We run our club from 5:15 -7:00 on Sundays.  My two year old is just getting started at 7:00p so I dont think thats late.  You need to be obedient to Gods calling.  Those in your group that are being negative need to be coached and loved to see things in a positive manner.  I have them in my group too and I just keep harping on how great Gods timing and provision are.  I say if youre called to have Puggles, go for it!  My club will have it this year.

    My two cents only!!  =)

Wow - you are so lucky! I ordered my stuff Tuesday afternoon - I am praying it comes in tomorrow! Right now, it looks like I may actually have 4 kids for Puggles! We shall see! Parents are really getting interested in this now.

    Jodi,

Please tell us what you are excited about after seeing the material.  Having people give their initial impressions of the new material was the original purpose for this thread.

    Thanks!

    Re: Your thoughts on Puggles?

Oh so much. The concepts for one, God made the world, God is love & Give thanks to God. What better concepts to start these children out on. The crafts are easy enough for me to understandWink, that in it's self is a miracle.  They don't call for a bunch of stuff that no one has on hand. The teaching pictures are beautiful. In the activity book they have extra ones which teach biblical principles such as "be kind" with verse & reference Ephesians 4:32, also ones to teach counting, colors etc.
