    Cubbies Sections Review?

I'm working in my Approved Workman software putting in what the Cubbies have done this week.  A couple kids did an Apple Tree Section.  In my software there are: sections and review sections for me to acknowledge, but no Apple Tree sections.

Is there a review plan for Cubbies, or might my software just call the Apple Trees review?

    Re: Cubbies Sections Review?

Not in the same way Sparks and T&T have review. The Under the Apple Tree sections review the previous 3 verses in the book, plus add an activity to be done at home with a parent. Technically, I wouldn't call it a review, but if Approved Workman has 1 Review section per Bear Hug, they may be calling it review to be consistent across clubs. I don't know since I don't use Approved Workman. Wish I could give you more information on that!

Melissa, I'm just wondering why you would not call the UTAT sections a review for cubbies?  They do review past verses for that.

You are right, but with the added activity, it is not strictly review.... it's "review plus".

oh my bad, I thought you were saying it wasn't enough to be considered a whole review because it wasn't a whole book or whatever it is the older clubs have to do for review.

    Re: Cubbies Sections Review?

Great, that's just what I needed to know.  My daughter did this whole book, but that was 7 handbooks ago!!  I couldn't remember what the content of the Apple Trees was!

I will assume then that the review checkboxes in my software are for the Apple Trees.

    Thanks!

    Re: Cubbies Sections Review?

I went to an Awana Ministry Conference last weekend. I attended oreintation and Cubbies Boot Camp.

If a cubby has completed the apple tree, then you assume that the three verses listed have been reviewed with the parent. The cubby should get three apple stickers to put on their tree. They then take their book to the club secretary who records the date in the review section (the opposite side of the slash from where the bear hud reciting date is written) and put an apple stamp on the cubbies hand.

This isn't how we have been doing it but this was the original intention or, at least, that is what I was taught this weekend!

    Re: Cubbies Sections Review?

Yes, they are incorporated through the portion of each week's lesson named "Under the Apple Tree" section. The verses are reviewed at home as well as at club. I believe the term review was easier for  Rick Leffler to implement in AW as with the other clubs... for a direct answer contact him.
