Leader Memory Award Pin (for Cubbie Leaders)

    The catalog reads this:

  • Leader Memory Award pin
Leaders can earn this pin by memorizing all the Scripture passages included in the Bear Hugs of the Hopper and Jumper Celebrations Handbooks. (See “pin placement” above for placement.)

It doesn't specify if the Leader is to say the complete verse: for example, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" or need only say what is in a Cubbie book: "All have sinned"
  • I have always, in prior churches, had leaders do the complete verse. Our Cubbie Director feels that she and the Cubbie Leaders need to only say what is in the Cubbie handbooks.

Wondering how others of you do this for the Leader Memory Award Pin in the catalog (page 41)

    thanks

" Leaders can work in handbooks along with Cubbies, though leaders must recite verses in their entirety."

I didn't know there was a Memory Award pin, but will check into it.  This year, I along with our church, are requiring leaders (including me) and LITs memorize the entire verse, with emphasis on the words out of that verse the Cubbies have to learn.  This is a good way to get the verse and Word of God into someone's heart-which is the real reward.  Learning just what the Cubbies learn would not, in my lowly opinion, do much to get God's word in our hearts, so that, if the situation arises, we may recite the verse.

Thanks Melissa! I need to work through all the Role Books. I'm on my 5th one, but had not done Cubbie ones. Appreciate you finding that so I could answer her definitively as she didn't like my word on it from 'old days' or gut instinct'.
